Welcome to Heritage Music

Based in the Old Chapel on Banbury Road, Heritage Music began in 1999 as an instrument workshop. In 2005 we acquired Caswell Strings, a well respected strings specialist in the industry for over 40 years, making us one of the best known violin shops in the country.

We don’t, however, only do strings! We carry a wide range of instruments including:

Brass Instruments - including trumpets, cornets, trombones and background brass.
Woodwind Instruments – including saxophones, flutes and clarinets.
Orchestral Strings – including violins, violas, cellos and basses.

Our orchestral strings collection draws customers from all over the UK. We believe we have one of the best selections of bowed string accessories and bows in the country.

Guitars – beginner classical guitars, acoustic guitars and a small selection of electric guitars.
Keyboards and electric pianos.

We also stock an extensive range of accessories for all instruments including reeds, strings and more.

Our sheet music and books include all common tutor books, exam books and repertoire. If we do not have what you require in stock, we can generally obtain it within a few days.

Our shop also includes an on-site workshop for Brass, Woodwind and string instrument repairs and maintenance.
